Classification of Industries

 

1. Big Industry:In case of manufacture, if the parmanent property's value apart from land and building is greater than 50 crore taka or engage more than 300 workers, then it will be treated as Big industry.

 

In service sector,if the parmanent property's value apart from land and building is greater than 30 crore taka or engage more than 120 workers, then it will be treated as Big industry.

 

 

2. Medium Industry:In case of manufacture, if the parmanent property's value apart from land and building ranges from 15 crore taka  to  50 crore taka or engage 121 workers to 300 workers, then it will be treated as Medium industry.

 

In service sector,f the parmanent property's value apart from land and building ranges from 2 crore taka  to  30 crore taka or engage 51 workers to 120 workers, then it will be treated as Medium industry.

 

On the basis of any standard, one industry included in Medium industry can be included in Big industry. In that case, the initiative will be included in the category of Big Industry .

 

3. Small Industry:In case of manufacture, if the parmanent property's value apart from land and building ranges from 75 lac taka  to  15 crore taka or engage 31 workers to 120 workers, then it will be treated as Small industry.

 

In service sector,f the parmanent property's value apart from land and building ranges from 10 lac taka  to  2 crore taka or engage 16 workers to 50 workers, then it will be treated as Small industry.

 

On the basis of any standard, one industry included in Small industry can be included in Medium industry. In that case, the initiative will be included in the category of Medium Industry .

 

 

3. Micro Industry:In case of manufacture, if the parmanent property's value apart from land and building ranges from 10 lac taka  to  75 lac taka or engage 16 workers to 30 workers, then it will be treated as Micro industry.

 

In service sector,f the parmanent property's value apart from land and building is not more than 10 lac taka  or engage not more than 15 workers , then it will be treated as Micro industry.

 

On the basis of any standard, one industry included in Micro industry can be included in Small industry. In that case, the initiative will be included in the category of Small Industry .

 

 

4. Cottage Industry:In manufacturing sector,f the parmanent property's value apart from land and building is not more than 10 lac taka  or engage not more than 15 workers , then it will be treated as Kutir industry.

 

On the basis of any standard, one industry included in Kutir industry can be included in Micro industry. In that case, the initiative will be included in the category of Micro Industry .
